User @USD scammed me for $1,250 in Bitcoin for OKEx database.

So user was selling the OKEx database with balances and I messaged him asking if he was still selling, claimed he had a sold a copy already but managed to get him to agree to sell me a copy too. We spoke on the on-site PM and moved over to TOX since its easy to have a conversation over there. He could only accept BTC or USDT so I converted XMR into BTC for him and sent him it, he said to wait for confirmation, all sounded good. Several hours later and 0 replies and now TOX messages to the user are no longer sending so it is clear he scammed.

Given everything it is quite clear he is just scamming and using his on-site reputation to do so. Figured since he had reputation on Dark Forums it was okay to proceed without escrow or middleman.

Sorry for your loss. I’ve noticed this forum is a haven for scammers, it’s easy to farm reputation by larping and shitposting, and to defraud people.
The admins should add more moderators or be more active in responding to reports.

haha, yeah it happens. No big loss just wanted to get a copy of what he had since not seen it about. Do not tend to even make posts about being scammed as little come from them however figured he had done some kind of fake reputation so was at least worth it to prevent someone else getting beamed.

El usuario @USD me estafó por $1,250 en Bitcoin para la base de datos OKEx.

Entonces el usuario estaba vendiendo la base de datos OKEx con saldos y le envié un mensaje preguntándole si todavía estaba vendiendo, afirmé que ya había vendido una copia, pero logré que aceptara venderme una copia también. Hablamos en el PM del lugar y pasamos a TOX ya que es fácil tener una conversación allí. Solo podía aceptar BTC o USDT, así que convertí XMR en BTC para él y se lo envié, me dijo que esperara la confirmación, todo sonaba bien. Varias horas después y 0 respuestas y ahora los mensajes TOX al usuario ya no se envían, por lo que está claro que estafó.
