I don't think it's a honeypot, it's just another iteration of the dying animal LockBit has become. I give it 6 months before they get breached again. They'll never be able to really take off again, there must be threat analysts and security researchers among their affiliates and they know it.

amigo, totally agree with your view. They are in fact a dying animal, and I think they can only attract noobs within its ranks.
