We hacked into Mackay Memorial Hospital's internal systems via the Internet, took control of the AD domain controller, and distributed a large amount of encryption software, which paralyzed the hospital's operations. At the same time, in retaliation for their non-compliance with payment, the total stolen data was 120GB.



Mackay Memorial Hospital (Chinese: 馬偕紀念醫院; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Má-Kai Chòng-Ha̍p Pēⁿ-Īⁿ; pinyin: Mǎjiē Jìniàn Yīyuàn; Wade–Giles: Ma³-Chieh¹ Tsung⁴-Ho² Yi¹-yüan⁴), founded on December 26, 1912, is one of the largest medical centers in Taiwan. It is a private Christian hospital in Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan, largely associated with George Leslie Mackay, the first modern missionary in northern Taiwan.
